2-D/3-D Animation

2-D animated comics:

  • Don’t just read the funnies, live the funnies! You’ll create paper comic strips that jump off the page in this week of animation! Using Zeum’s unique stop-motion techniques, the cartoon characters you sketch, draw or cut-out will start walking, talking, pop-locking or rocking right before your very eyes! Mix them on a page with your friends’ comic heroes and who knows what can happen!

3-D clay animation:

  • Colorful characters spring to life from a ball of clay as you create stories even funnier than the ones on TV or the movies! You’ll explore Zeum’s unique tools and techniques of stop-motion clay animation while making your own animated shorts. Your clay character will join other campers’ creations to form a motley crew of comic heroes embarking on a crazy adventure.

  • Bring your toys! We’ll teach you special stopmotion techniques to make your favorite toys walk, talk and play with other toys!Stone Plate

What Else You Get:

  • Specialization:
    Each week of camp focuses exclusively on the creative process of digital movie production, music-making or animation. Enroll in all four weeks of camp for the full EdTech experience!
  • Ratios: We maintain at most a ratio of 1:6 between our staff to campers during all tech lab time so that you know you’re getting individual attention.
  • Equipment:We use high-quality equipment and age-appropriate software to create digital works of art sure to impress your friends and family. Plus many of the skills you build help will help unlock the hidden creative potential of your home computer!
  • Balance: Every day we make time to hang out with our staff and your friends away from the computers during camp huddles, outdoor rec games and camp contests.
  • Safety: CPR/First Aid certified staff members are present on-site at all times. Background checks are performed on all staff.
