Staff
We know an incredible curriculum is nothing without a talented and experienced staff to deliver it. That’s why we’ve done everything we can to ensure your instructors and counselors are the best in the business. Our staff features a mix of Camp Edtech staff as well as professionals from our partner organizations.
All our Digital Movie Making courses will be taught by actual BAVC Instructors. That’s right…the same people who work with and train Industrial Light & Magic, Apple and Pixar employees will be right there leading you every step of the way! Oh yeah…and they’re not bad with youth either…they’ve only worked with about 3,000 junior high and high school students producing videos over the past seven years. Those videos, we might add, have been screened in hundreds of film festivals across the country. Graduates of BAVC’s youth program who are now college students will serve as Teacher Assistants in addition to the Instructors and our own Camp Edtech Counselors and Camp Director.
All of our 3-D Clay Animation and 2-D Animated Comics courses will be taught by Camp Edtech Instructors who are trained live and on-site at Zeum in downtown San Francisco by the very same people who designed the curriculum. Zeum has been teaching these types of courses at the museum since 1998. That’s only about 250,000 youth, families, teachers and community organizations that come through their doors…every year!
In addition to quality, safety is of equal importance. That’s why we have CPR/First Aid certified staff members are present on-site at all times and background checks are performed on all staff during our hiring process.
